Hosted jointly by Alpha Prisons and Caring for Ex-Offenders, the Prison Ministry Conference is a fantastic day for networking and inspiration, and for hearing from renowned speakers from the criminal justice system, the voluntary sector and the wider church.

Whether you have been working in this field for years or are just exploring, whether you are excited by a growing ministry or are facing great challenges in your work, the conference is for you. The goal of the day is to encourage and equip each other, and to hear inspiring stories of transformation in our communities across the UK.

The latest Prison Ministry Conference featured inspiring speakers including Bishop Graham Tomlin; Chief Executive of the National Offender Management Service, Michael Spurr; and Executive Director of the Centre for Social Justice, Baroness Philippa Stroud, as well as moving testimonies and in-depth workshops looking at creating safe space in our prisons and communities.  If you missed it do have a look at the videos on our Media page.

I was encouraged by meeting the ‘ordinary’ men and women ‘on the ground’ who plug away at making a difference in lives that many others wouldn’t care about.

The main speakers are always inspiring; the atmosphere of hope makes for a joyful conference.
I just love sitting in a room filled with people passionate about prisons and seeing people set free through Jesus, encouraging and inspiring.
