Regional contacts

A network of people ready to help

This person is a centrally appointed volunteer who helps promote Caring for Ex-Offenders and encourages local churches by providing practical advice and support.

The role of local advisers, who ideally work as part of a Regional team, includes:

  • Serving as a point of contact for CFEO churches in a designated region

  • Promoting CFEO locally; linking with other agencies as appropriate

  • Providing advice and support for new and existing CFEO churches

  • Co-ordinating local CFEO events

  • Attending training delivered by the national CFEO office; disseminating good practice and procedures locally.

I became a Christian in prison. When I was released the church helped sort out some of my practical needs. They helped me to find accommodation and they have also helped me find a good support group.
