Training
Caring for Ex-offenders and C.O.A.C.H offer training to churches to work with ex-offenders and individual members of the church to coach ex-offenders towards their goals.
CFEO Training
Caring for Ex-Offenders training days offer:
- Training – to train churches to support ex-offenders. Training covers the need to care for ex-offenders, where to start, risk management, implementing models and the practicalities of supporting ex-offenders.
- Networking – to meet others involved in this area and support each other.
- Discerning – to figure out if working with ex-offenders is for you
Who is it for:
This training is aimed at equipping those who work or would like to work with ex-offenders (or those at risk of offending) in your church. This training should be attended by the person coordinating this ministry in your church.
CFEO/COACH Training
Caring for Ex-offenders has partnered with The Catalyst Urban Trust to develop coaching support for ex-offenders. COACH has a track record of supporting other vulnerable groups such as ex-gang members and single parents and has been adapted to work with people coming out of prison. CFEO COACH is one way your church can really benefit an ex-offender and your broader community.
The definition of a COACH is
“A volunteer who offers practical support and coaching towards life-goals for an ex-offender.”

- Communication Skills
- Boundaries and Risk
- Understanding Ex-Offenders
Who is it for:
This training is aimed at those who are interested or will be involved in coaching or mentoring ex-offenders plus those overseeing this ministry in the Church.
